Brain Based Blood Labs

There are many nutrients and blood elements which affect brain health and function.  Nutrients are ultimately the source of your brain chemistry.

For instance:

Low levels of Vitamin D can lead to increased symptoms of anxiety and depression, brain fog and can ultimately yield cognitive decline.

Vitamin B12 plays a critical role in the production of important neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin.  These help regulate mood.  Low levels of vitamin B12 can lead to mental health symptoms such as depression, irritability, or anxiety. Many struggle to activate and utilize common B12 supplements. Knowing the right form of this vitamin to supplement can be vital!

Folate, another B vitamin, is also crucial to mental health.  Low folate has been associated with depressive disorders.  Knowing which form of folate to supplement can be critical as many people won't benefit from standard folic acid.

Stress leads to greater excretion of magnesium, a very important mineral.  Low magnesium has been linked with anxiety and depressive disorders.

Low levels of zinc with high levels of copper have been associated with anxiety.

BrainCuZn looks at these and other important nutrients, like Vitamin B6, iron and selenium, and makes customized plans to harmonize your levels.
